1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Linen, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Linen.

2. Your account

You can begin using Linen without an account. When you create one, you agree to provide accurate information (an email address and first name) and to keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Shared spaces

Linen lets one subscriber share a space with one other person. Within a shared space, both members can view and edit the space's content. The subscriber is the space's administrator and may remove the other member; if the subscription ends, the subscriber may pass the space to the other member or keep it. Content added by either person to a shared space belongs to that space.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Capturing your own list is free. Sharing a space and certain capture surfaces require a paid subscription.
• Subscriptions are offered with a free trial and billed through your app store account. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your app store settings.
• Deleting your Linen account does not automatically cancel an app store subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Linen — including attempting to disrupt the service, access it in unauthorized ways, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to Linen. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display that content so the app can function for you and any member of your shared space. You're responsible for the content you save.

7. Intellectual property

Linen, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These terms don't grant you any right to use our branding without permission.

8. Disclaimers

Linen is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will never lose data. Use it as a helpful tool, not a system of record.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linen will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the date above. Continued use of Linen after changes means you accept them. Questions? Reach us at hello@thelinenapp.com.
