1. Overview

Linen (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) helps two people keep a shared list. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Linen to ask for as little as possible: your first list lives on your device, and an account is only created when you choose to share a space or start a trial.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details. When you create an account, we collect your email address and first name. We use a one-time code for sign-in — we do not store a password.
• Your content. The things you save (titles, notes, links, groups, and priorities) so the app can do its job.

Information collected automatically

• Device & usage data. Basic diagnostics such as app version, device type, and crash information to keep Linen reliable.
• Subscription status. Whether an entitlement is active, provided through the app store, to unlock shared features.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve Linen — to sync your shared space, deliver run notifications and Live Activities, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing & disclosure

Within a shared space, the things you add are visible to the other member of that space — that's the point. Beyond that, we share information only with service providers who help us run Linen (for example, hosting, sync, and subscription processing), or when required by law. Referral links never share the contents of your list.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is retained for a short grace period so you can change your mind, and then permanently removed. Content that lives only on your device is removed when you delete the app.

6. Your choices & rights

• Access, correct, or delete your account information from within the app.
• Leave a shared space at any time; leaving removes your access to that space's content.
• Manage notification permissions in your device settings.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to notify you appropriately in the unlikely event of a breach.

8. Children's privacy

Linen is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
